This last wednesday we had our big doctors appointment and this Momma and both boys got GREAT reports!!! This ultra sound was definitely my favorite out of all the ones we have had.
They measured the boys heads, bellies, arms, legs, feet, hands, kidneys, hearts, EVERYTHING.... It took forever but I would have stayed all day!! It was so fun to see them at 17 weeks!!!
I haven't actually felt them moving in side me yet...BUT... they are active little boys. They were moving like crazy during the ultra sound.
Here are a few pictures... Our Nurse was amazing and she printed sooo many for us!
There is no doubt that these little guys are BOYS... :) Their daddy was so proud of how proud they seemed to show us with no shame they are BOYS :)
I love the Thumbs up :) "Mom, we're doing great in here!!"
I love how they still call them baby BB and baby CC... You can't see our sweet Glory baby, Baby AA but we will never forget her/him! All three babies will be in the beginning of the baby book.
Also other Fun things going on at the Luster Home is our Amazing St. Louis Cardinals!!!!
We haven't missed a game, on TV that is :) We did get to go to one of the Cards games against the Nationals which was both of our first post series game. We got to go on Friday as well for the last game in St. Louis and even though the game was stinky!!! We still always have fun! Hoping for a world series game... Tonight's game is do or die!!!
Nationals vs. Cardinals
This was my layered up...Its going to be cold outfit!! T-shirt, long sleeve tee shirt, polar fleece, vest, hat, long underwear, jeans, wool socks, and hunter boots... I was NOT cold :)
I can't say thank you enough to everyone that has been praying for me!!!! Everyone keeps saying that I feel better because I'm in the 2nd trimester and while I will say that may have something to do with the smile on my face in this picture but... I tell ya I know it is truly a miracle and an answer to prayer that the hyperemesis didn't last any longer. Lots of woman with this are sick for their enitre pregnancy and I am so happy to report I have been completely medicine free for a whole week!!!
I have gone back to pretty much normal daily activities and I am eating more than just PB&J, granola bars, cream of wheat, and canned fruit.
I am drinking carnation instant breakfast for the protein and vitamins.
(Still not eating ANY meat... Gross Me Out)
I'm eating Carbs... Bagels and Cream Cheese and Beans, Rice and Cheese Soft Tacos :), and Lots of Apples.
We found out early that we are..... Drum Roll Please.... Having 2
BOYS!!!!!
For some reason since the beginning of our pregnancy I have thought boys... BUT really wanted girls. I have always been the babysitter of girls!!! I love to play with hair, make crafts, color, play princess!! And its Adriane that was always so great with boys!!! She had a girl of course!! And she is the sweetest girl momma!! Look at her :)
I am very excited about having boys... They may not have names for the first year of their precious lives... because we can't think of 2 that we like together or just two. :) This naming stuff is hard!!!
If for some reason they made a mistake and there is a girl and a boy inside of me I think we could name them tomorrow but as for now we are on the hunt for boy names.
We have a big Doctors Appointment this next week which will decide a few things for us. They will do a very thorough ultra sound which will include measuring my cervix and making sure that everything is on track and healthy for a long full term pregnancy. This will determine if
I am going to travel to my cousins wedding in the VIRGIN ISLANDS.... Yeah... thats what I said...the Virgin Islands :) Which would be an amazing little get away for Anthony and I. We would go with my family and get to stay for 4 days. AMAZING!!!
I really need to write blogs more often. I feel like I just wrote a book and could keep going.
Things I could talk about:
The Bible Study I am In (Loving It)
Sweet Mom's that keep telling me they have FREE baby boy stuff for me.
Cleaning out Stuff Trying to start preparing for babies
*Thank you for everyone that has read this and left encouraging words on facebook, email, text. We appreciate your prayers more than you could ever know!!*
@The LAKE with My Super Hero Mom...
Just before I went into the Hospital we had our second ultra sound which revealed that one of our precious babies heart beat had slowed down. He/She wasn't developing as well as the other two and the Dr. was concerned but said there was nothing we could do and only time would tell what would happen. We were of course sad and concerned but we trusted the Lord and prayed for a miracle and are so grateful for our family, church family, and friends that prayed along with us.
My precious sweet husband definitely should be awarded the greatest Dad/Husband award. He has read everything he can get his hands on and knows far more about being pregnant than I ever care to know. At every week he has told me what I can expect and possible side effects.
He read about mothers who got the same news yet went back to the Dr. and the baby was fine. Of course he was such a sweet encouragement to my heart every step of the way.
The Incredible Sad Part
After being in hospital for the week and then staying at the lake I had to go home for our next ultra sound. We knew this appointment was possible going to be a hard one but felt as if the Lord had prepared our hearts for either way.
I never realized how difficult it would be to love 3 babies growing inside of me and then get the news that one of those precious babies was no longer with us.
Our precious sweet pea went to heaven.
After many tears and some teary days that come and go we will always remember our 3rd baby. We are grateful for our 2 babies that are growing and are very healthy.
(This is our Baby that went to Heaven)
This Sweet song has always been a song that I love but now it means so much more to me.
I remember the words of David in 2 Samuel when he lost his son. After praying and fasting he gets up and says that his son will not come to him but he will go to his son some day.
What an incredible day it will be when we meet our 3rd baby in Heaven.
Getting Better....
I have now been home for a week and a half. I am at 13 weeks and 3 days and I am feeling much better. I no longer have to use the Zofran pump because I am able to take medicine orally and be confident that I can keep it...if you know what I mean.
I have slowly been able to add more activity to my day and while I can't miss a dose of my medicine I am now able to go for a walk, do some house work, and I have been able to
go back to my little part time job of assisting my friend with computer work for a few hours a week.
In the last few months my diet has consisted of apple sauce, canned fruit, orange juice and capri suns. I am thankful to report that I my appetite is growing and I am finally able to eat more. Still very simple but definitely more substantial and I am no longer losing weight.
Prayer Request
1. Please pray for our 2 precious babies growing inside me. Pray they would continue to grow and be healthy babies.
2. Please pray for my nausea to stop. Our doctor says that because I am gradually getting better when we cross over into the second trimester I might actually be able to start enjoying being pregnant.
But I have also heard of woman that are sick through their entire pregnancy.
3. Please pray for my sweet Anthony. While I am home eating crackers and canned fruit he is having to fend for himself. He is getting sick of eating sandwiches and eating out. It is still difficult to cook or even warm things up in the house because the smells still bother me.
Thank you So Much for your prayers!
I am excited to use this blog to document this amazing journey the Lord has us on and can't wait to share more news like the sex of the babies, how they are growing... How I am growing :)
My parents took us on a pre-30th birthday trip for Adriane and me. We spent a week in Montana with my family which was really perfect for Anthony and really a great way to spend my 7th week pregnant. Anthony was able to enjoy the late mornings, amazing view of the lakes and mountains, fun family time, a little sight seeing, and lots of great reading time.
View from where we stayed for free because of our sweet friends the Ellis Family who have a house in Montana.
Morning Coffee before our long trip to Glacier National Park
It stays light outside so late it was 8:30 pm... Made for super fun play time.

Beautiful
Most of my time was spent breathing deeply saying to my self.... "your fine, don't throw up, how long am I going to feel like this, I don't know if I'm ever going to do this again." It wasn't all terrible I did enjoy the breath taking scenery and definitely enjoyed the 60 degree mornings and 80 degrees afternoons.
We saw bears, buffalo, deer...etc LOTS of animals!! BIG NEWS AWAITS US AT HOME
When we came home we anxiously awaited our 1st Ultra Sound Appointment which is where we would find out we are pregnant with TRIPLETS!!!!
Exciting, scary, thankful, freaking out a bit, crying, so happy!!!
You can't really see all of the babies but there is definitely 3 sacks in there. :)
Baby AAA, BBB, CCC
Then the Incredibly Hard stuff started.
I checked into the Hospital after having enough of throwing up 5-10 times daily!!
and ended up having to stay a whole week.
I was diagnosed with a condition called
Hyperemesis gravidarum(HG) is a severe form of morning sickness, with "unrelenting, excessive pregnancy-related nausea and/or vomiting that prevents adequate intake of food and fluids." Hyperemesis is considered a rare complication of pregnancy but, because nausea and vomiting during pregnancy exist on a continuum, there is often not a good diagnosis between common morning sickness and hyperemesis. Estimates of the percentage of pregnant women afflicted range from 0.3% to 2.0% The Word "unrelenting" is the word that in my opinion best describes it. I was pumped full of fluids and medicine for 7 days in the hospital. After losing a total of 20 lbs. and just about wanting to jump out the window I was released and able to go home. I was thankful to go home and have a new appreciation for mom's that have to go on bed rest for Months of their pregnancy.... You just do what you gotta do for these precious gifts. During this time my Super Hero Mom was by my side the whole time!!! She rushed up from the Lake and stayed the entire week with me. When my sweet husband wasn't working he did his best to keep me encouraged and spent many hours in the hospital room as well. Here are some really lame picture but pretty much sums up my time there.
I ate a lot of these...
Lots and Lots of Apple Sauce
Finally was able to try something that had a little more substance Oatmeal and a Banana..
Flowers from Anthony they were beautiful but take note Iris' are lovely but to a nauseous pregnant girl the smell was a bit overwhelming :) Its the precious thought that counts :)
I took a picture of my wrist after I got the IV out... I was so happy to say good by to that thing. The Day I checked out of the Hospital A home nurse came to my house to teach me how to use my new ZOFRAN PUMP. (Sort of the same concept as an insulin pump I will spare you the details but it involved sticking a tac like needle in my stomach every other day to get the IV medicine... Not fun but that medicine helped alot!!! I was attached to it for 21 days.) Moved to the Lake The next day we had decided it would be better for me to live at the Lake of the Ozarks with my parents so my dear sweet mom could go home but still take care of me. I stayed there for 3 weeks, while my sweet husband stayed home and worked hard for his quickly growing family. He came to visit me every weekend!!! I am so thankful for everyone that was praying for us... I know it was more than I will ever know.
If it is as HOT where you are as it is in St. Louis (106 degrees) you are probably not using your oven either.
Here is a quick cheap dinner!
Spinach Strawberry Poppyseed Pecan Salad
Only Modification you may want to make is Less sugar :( But if you are making it for a group and want to impress add the sugar... Its the best that way!
Just me and A tonight so I went with a 1/4 C. instead of 1/2 C.
Grabbed a Rotisserie
chicken at SAMs and there you go. A light yet filling delicious dinner!
Hope you are having a terrific Thursday!!
If you are reading this and Believe in the Power of Prayer... I would love prayer for my Dr. Apt. 8:30 am. Its an important one. We'll see if we get to move forward or change up something and talk about other options... Of course we would love to MOVE FORWARD... But we are trusting God's Perfect timing for a baby!!
Anthony and I just got to go on the most incredible trip! State Farm has amazing incentives for their agents. It is A LOT of work and when I say that I know I have really know idea how much work goes into earning a trip to Bermuda BUT I AM VERY GRATEFUL!!
It was an indescribable year of blood sweat and tears!! Starting a business is tough!!!!
But the benefit have been worth it.
I have already started Cheering him on for next years trip!!!!
The Pictures don't do it justice!!!
Great Friends... They are all first time travelers as agents!!! So Proud!
The Supportive wives... "okay I guess I'll go on a free trip to Bermuda.."
It rained a couple days so we made our way to the lovely Bermudian ZOO..
One of my Favorite animals!!!
The Water is Gorgeous!! and He is Handsome!
We had a BLAST and enjoyed the "Millionaire trip"... Thats what they kept calling it because apparently if you have enough money to stay where we stayed and fly to Bermuda you basically need to be a Millionaire. Thanks State Farm for footing the bill!!!
Interesting facts about Bermuda...
1. You can only buy property in Bermuda if you are from Bermuda.
2. Starting Salary for a School Teacher is $84,000.00 (seriously)
3. But they need to make that much because average rent for an apartment starts at $2500.00
4. They make/grow nothing on the island (with the exception of a few local farmer that grow tomatoes, but no where near enough to feed the island) everything has to come from the USA or Europe.
5. Bermuda is a British Commonwealth (thought I would hear more English accents...sadly there were only a few)
